A jeweler's loupe is a magnifiying tool used
to see tiny inclusions in a diamond. The level of specification on a
jeweler's loupe is usually 10x triplet, that is 10x magnification. Without
the help of a loupe you cannot see most of the inclusions inside a diamond.
Using a loupe is a little tricky at first, but
here are some quick tips: Which eye do you use when you investigate
something very tiny? This is your primary eye. Hold the loupe to this
eye and bring the diamond in close with your other arm/hand until it’s
in focus. If you can see into the diamond itself, you have mastered
the loupe!
